About Jan Willem Elkhuizen

Jan Willem Elkhuizen is a movement scientist and physiotherapist. He specialized in headaches originating from the neck and in back pain. He published various articles on these topics and, together with orthopedic surgeon Menno Iprenburg, wrote the book about Back pain, hernia and lumbago. Together they discovered the 'Ipel test' named after them, which can detect and treat causes of back pain.

Furthermore, Jan Willem is co-founder of several companies and holds about ten inventions. As founder of Ligwijzer, he committed himself to improving sleep quality and preventing physical complaints. For this, he designed the Hi4 Pillow, adjustable in 8 heights, and the Mikoala Body Pillow.
